 ORCHIDSTORM

Orchidstorm is a large, short haired she-cat. Her pelt is quite dense and plushy. It is an almost strange hue of warm pink-grey which leads it to appear as a dilute shade of lilac. Her pelt is solid with no markings to be seen on it. Her undercoat is a tad lighter than her outer coat as well. She has a broad chest along with stocky legs and round paws. Orchidstorm has a medium length tail with a sharp tip. Her head is round and her ears are quite broad. She has a short muzzle along with big, round deep copper orange eyes.

Orchidstorm is a sharp-witted molly. She has a knack to notice when things are wrong from a healer's standpoint. It's safe to say she's a decent healer despite her methodical ways that may be considered painstaking or even too formal. But that's how Orchistorm was taught from her times as an apprentice, to be meticulous and well-organized, no matter the consequences. However, there are plenty of flaws in this molly. She may act and appear as truthful, though she is anything but with many felines. She is deceptive, sneaky like a snake especially around those who she has a grudge against. On top of that, she is vengeful. It's likely that she would want to harm a certain someone if she had the opportunity. She holds grudges like no other. She does not forget and she does not forgive. Orchidstorm struggles with trusting others despite her role, but who can blame her? She simply can't trust any cat but herself. Only she is good enough to depend on and she certainly doesn't trust the clan's current leader.

PLOT INTEGRATION:
Before the creation of the plot, she was integrated in as a medicine cat (or warrior?), her role being behind the scenes most times. Orchidstorm does not agree with either focus (aggression or peaceful) due to her thoughts about Elkstar. Is he her main focus? No, but it does take up some of her thoughts.
Though she tends to prefer peace (for her benefit), she would rather Elkstar not be leading SummitClan and have another feline at the helm. Copperclaw would be a fine choice. If Orchidstorm had to choose between the two, the peaceful focus fits her facade. It's best she hopes for peace, right? Yet she is more aggressive than she shows.

Has no known offspring and she likely won't have any unless a plot changes this decision.

HISTORY:
Moon 0 to 6:
Born to Spiderfrost & Treeleap, Orchidkit did not necessarily thrive at first. Because she had no surviving littermates, she was often noisy and annoying her parents. It did not take long for her mother to become irritated by Orchidkit. Her mother, Spiderfrost, was desperate to go back to her warrior duties. Her father, however, was more present– somehow fatherhood grew on him. The two had a deep, unwavering bond that Orchidkit couldn't form with her mother. They were polar opposites, Spiderfrost being more nonchalant whereas Orchidkit was intense. A majority of her kittenhood was spent with her father, following him around when he was and wasn't busy. She learned to appreciate his role as a warrior though she wasn't too keen on it for herself. She then found herself peeking into the medicine cat's den when Treeleap had become injured several times. For some reason, it piqued her interest more than patrolling or hunting.

Moon 6 through 12/13:
As an apprentice, Orchidpaw had found a purpose in being a healer's apprentice. With her mentor's guidance and constant lessons, she didn't spend much of her time with the other apprentices. It was almost like isolation, but it was an isolated place she (dare we say) loved. She became more meticulous and organized and learned how to be less annoying and loud. In the meantime, Treeleap had retired early due to a twisted hind leg, leaving Spiderfrost in the warriors' den. Once more, she spent time and time again with her father and grew apart from her mother. Orchidpaw didn't mind the fact they weren't talking, her mentor had acknowledged it and found it to be bizarre. The apprentice didn't care– as long as she had her father around, things were fine. She tried fitting in with the other apprentices, just to test the waters. Orchidpaw didn't care for them– her mentor was certainly a better companion compared to the immature adolescents. Whenever she had to treat a fellow apprentice, she retaliated in ways that were not acceptable. Sometimes she gave the apprentice(s) one too many poppy seeds, just so she wouldn't have to hear their complaints about their duties or whatever seemed worse to them. They don't know what it's like to have power in their paws. A rare privilege that only few cats could ever experience, let alone earn.
Orchidpaw never got into physical fights with other felines, they were verbal and emotional. She thought she was sneaky with herbs though it was discovered once, by her mother, Spiderfrost, who had become oddly afraid of her daughter. Did it have something to do with the frail, sick Treeleap? Possibly. She pleaded with her to stay quiet, knowing that her mother cared for her father. She had something that Spiderfrost didn't– the herbs that were keeping Treeleap alive. It seemed that the pair made up and life moved on like usual.

Moon 12 to Now (32)
Orchidpaw graduated and was given the name Orchidstorm for her capability. For now, things have been smooth sailing until Elkstar became leader. She's not too keen on him, but won't say why just yet. And, somehow, she's been keeping Treeleap alive. She can't lose her father as her relationship with him is the only decent one she's got.

Why is Orchidstorm the way that she is?
Essentially, Orchidstorm is a vindictive healer, but there is a reason behind this. In part it's due to her father's life-lasting health issue (a twisted leg) which has created a pain that can never be healed completely. As an apprentice, she didn't get along with others who were the same age (more or less) because of her behavior. Orchidkit/paw was a noisy, angry child who would pick verbal fights just because she could. She felt like she belonged more in the medicine cat den anyways because her mentor was more understanding of her as was her father, Treeleap. Her mom, Spiderfrost, was super nonchalant, cared more about her warrior duties because she wanted to achieve something other than being a mom. Treeleap never had that kind of motivation, but her mentor instilled said motivation into her.
