Standing on the edge of TimberClan’s territory are the mighty Redwoods, strong and silent. Here the only other vegetation that manages to grow in the low light allowed by the sprawling canopy above are ferns and shrubs - the perfect location to go for training and hunting of voles, mice, and other small creatures. The most ambitious of apprentices may even challenge each other to climb the trunk of one of these giants, but be wary - The fall is not for the faint of heart.

In a sequestered and protected area of the forest is a small hill lies a lush meadow in the heart of TimberClan’s territories that gained its namesake due to the clumps of indigo coloured lupine that grows within it. A variety of flora is in abundance here, including fragrant bushes, useful herbs and scattered patches of flowers. At the center of this hill is what appears to be the remnants of a stone foundation, perhaps where a twoleg once lived, but is now long forgotten. Cottontails make burrows here, as well as bees, whose nests hang off of smaller firs and alder trees.

A large stream cuts through the forest, thinning in some areas, fattening in others. It is crossable where the currents are calm but younger warriors are cautioned when encountering stronger currents, because it is there where the riverbed is too deep to step onto. Fish of all kinds are found here, if one tires of rabbit or squirrels. At the end of this stream is a ravine (or gulch), deep enough that the darkness obscures the bottom of it. Rock and limestone shine from wetness, slippery if you aren’t careful, but you can hear the almost hypnotizing song of running water…

Part of a temperate rainforest, the Staghorn Copse is a treed area consisting of spruces, maples, and hemlock trees that have been coated in a soft, green moss. The floor and air of the forest are damp and cool, which creates the perfect environment for lichens and ferns to grow. These plants are often consumed by deer or elk. It is not uncommon for fallen antlers to be found in the planted carpets here, dropped by one of the large fourlegged creatures.
