Shinepaw is a beacon of positive energy within his clan, excited to be around the other apprentices. However, aspects of his learning are very difficult to him, as he feels he has huge shoes to fill with his uncle being the deputy and his mother being so very protective of him. He is however, a charming little apprentice. He likes talking to almost everyone, though getting him to really open up about himself and speak out about how we feels his mom can be a bit much at times can be very difficult.
In terms of his training, he's been having a lot of difficulty. He is a perfectionist by nature, especially in terms of not wanting to disappoint Fireflicker or Cherrydawn --- the latter of which he looks up to greatly, as he was the more solid father figure within his life. If his mentor even so much as tries to correct him, he shuts down for the rest of his training and has difficulty getting motivated again, assuming this means that he'll be a disappointment to his family. In one blessing, he is happy his mother did not become his mentor, as he feels it would be even more difficult for him if he was under her eyes all day every day.
While he is a social and friendly cat, he does have a small issue of feeling like his mother is a tad overbearing. He finds that she's always within earshot, even if he's only chatting with apprentices his age --- but he dares not say anything, worried of hurting her feelings, as they're the only family each other has.

Plotting, History, & Relations
PLOT INTEGRATION:
The only child of Fireflicker, recently apprenticed to (insert name here). His mother is a bit overprotective and overbearing but he loves her as any son would. Though, she's been butting heads with his mentor. He's very scared of disappointing both his mother and his uncle and as such has become a bit of a meek and agreeable apprentice. He is too focused on his own training to worry about the Court or Summitclan.

HISTORY:
Fireflicker and (currently unnamed tom) never had a romantic connection, but Fireflicker wanted to have kits. After a few failed attempts, she finally carried to term and had a single kit: Shinekit. While the relationship of Fireflicker and (tom) was cordial at first, shortly before Shinekit's birth he made a remark that criticized Cherrydawn --- the deputy and brother of Fireflicker, and he was scolded heavily, with the threat that if he spoke to her family including her unborn kit she would add him to the fresh-kill pile. The tom relented, and since his birth the closest thing Shinekit has known that resembled a father was his uncle Chherrydawn.

Shinekit's time in the nursery wasn't anything spectacular, although he did find his mother to be VERY concerned about his well-being at all times. She scolded him if he was out of her sight for too long and seemed very overtly protective of him. Shinekit of course, was unaware of his mother's past trouble with kits and Cherrydawn's issues with his mentor, so he just thought his mother was worried about him. This only intensified once he left the nursery and was given his apprentice name and mentor: (mentor to be edited).
Shinepaw is now struggling with his apprenticeship, as he has a mother who is trying to be very involved in his mentorship, even butting heads with his mentor at times --- and he has a crippling fear of disappointing his mother and his beloved uncle Cherrydawn. He just really feels like he isn't enough, and he's not sure how to fix this feeling.
