PLOT INTEGRATION:

Geraniumclaw is a cat who believes 100% in her leader and deputy, but especially in her clan and their right to their current territory, as well as any more they can acquire. Although she has faced a lot of tragedy in her life, she believes in Starclan and that there is a greater purpose to all of it.

HISTORY:

Really, nobody expected Antlerstrike and Basilbelly to ever be together. A pair of cats that was consistently arguing, not to mention that they both avoided kits and apprentices as much as possible. So it was a terrific surprise for most of the cats in Summitclan when Antlerstrike did announce that she was having Basilbelly's kits.

Further shock spread through the clan when Antlerstrike had the kits--5 of them, although one was stillborn, and very early into the kits' lives a second kit passed. Basilbelly and Antlerstrike's attitudes did not change at all, the two cats continuing their frequent arguments, and Antlerstrike was quick to push her surviving kits into being apprentices as soon as possible so she could return to being a warrior. Basilbelly and Antlerstrike gave no exceptions for age when it came to their children.

Raised with the expectations of having no weakness, Geraniumpaw and her siblings Emberpaw and Featherpaw were encouraged into rivalry with each other for their parents' and later their mentors' praises. Everything was an opportunity to make Basilbelly or Antlerstrike just a little bit more tolerating of their presence. However, tragedy struck again when Geraniumpaw and her siblings were 11 moons old, as a sickness struck the Realm and took Emberpaw.

Geraniumpaw's mentor, Copperclaw, instilled in her a distrust of outsiders and a constant desire for vigilance. She always attempted her best to impress him with her skills, often waking up early in order to practice so that she would be prepared, a strategy that worked only occasionally, as she was still young and inexperienced. It was with great pride that at 17 moons old, Geraniumpaw and Featherpaw were given their warrior names: Geraniumclaw (for her fighting skill) and Featherbright (for her strategic intelligence).

With just one remaining littermate, a more sentimental cat might reconsider the rivalry that had seen their entire lives, but for the newly-named Geraniumclaw and Featherbright, it just meant that they had all of their focus on each other. The two sisters fought frequently for moons. Patrols, hunting parties, or any group of cats had to be formed with the understanding that either Geraniumclaw or Featherbright could participate--but not both.

Eventually this policy came to the end: it was Featherbright's death in a hunting accident that made Geraniumclaw realize that while she could have had a competitive relationship with her sister, that relationship should have made both of them stronger and not resulted in them tearing each other down. Geraniumclaw's relationship with her parents was partially tarnished afterwards, although she does still seek their approval.

Now a capable warrior on her own, Geraniumclaw seeks the betterment of Summitclan and the expansion of her own skills.
