She has a gray chin, further adding to her face's checkered appearance. The white patches adorning her pelt also contribute to her checkered appearance.
Aspen's eyes are a striking mix of green and yellow, standing out against her gray and white pelt, and generally always appear alert and watchful. Aspen's story with the Court of Spires began 55 moons ago, in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that shook the Realm. Found as a tiny, orphaned kit amidst the debris, she was given the temporary namesake "of the Spires" and raised within the Court's protective walls. As she grew, Aspen proved to be a diligent, if unremarkable, member of the Court. During her time as a Squire, she struggled with the balance of Knight and Ranger training. Her short temper and impatience often hindered her progress, particularly in the more diplomatic aspects of Court life. However, she showed a slight aptitude for hunting, which ultimately led her to choose the path of a Ranger. She completed her squire assessment with little fanfare.
A defining moment in Aspen's life came 33 moons ago, during a particularly harsh leafbare. As a fairly young Ranger at 22 moons old, Aspen was on a routine hunting patrol when a group of rogues attempted to steal from the Court. The ensuing chaos saw the Court's knights rallying to defend their territory, whereas Aspen, along with her fellow Rangers, were tasked with attempting to bolster the fresh-kill pile. During the conflict, Aspen witnessed the effect of the tragic death of the Sovereign's mate at the paws of the rogues. This event left a deep impression on her, reinforcing her loyalty to the Court and hardening her already tough exterior. While she played no heroic role in driving off the rogues, the experience intensified her dedication to her duties and her mistrust of outsiders.
